About Hyams Beach

Hyams Beach is famous for its powdery white sands. Wriggle your toes in some of the world’s whitest sands on the southern shore of Jervis Bay, on the South Coast of NSW. You can also swim, snorkel and dive in the crystal-clear waters in the marvellous marine park, a haven for dolphins, seals and penguins.

One of the best ways to enjoy the natural beauty of Jervis Bay is on foot. The White Sands Walk is an easy, hour-long walk across the soft sands, past splendid and secluded bays and beaches. You may spot a pod of dolphins frolicking near the shoreline.

Hyams Beach is surrounded by natural attractions such as the Booderee National Park, headlands with clifftop walking trails and native forests. Tucked in between some of the most gorgeous beaches anywhere in Australia, such as Murrays Beach and Greenpatch, Hyams Beach is three hours’ drive from Sydney.

There are plenty of ways to enjoy the stunning natural attractions. Diving and snorkelling are very popular. Surfing, sailing, windsurfing and kayaking are popular in this idyllic marine park too. In nearby Huskisson, join a dolphin-watching cruise any time of the year. Whale watching is from May to November.
